Bio
Bay Area based artist, Linda Nystrom, combines Chinese and Western paintbrush styles to reproduce the grace and beauty of nature. Originally trained in Chinese brush painting in the 1970s, Linda has attended Chinese and western style watercolor painting workshops throughout U.S. Linda is also an avid photographer where she learned how to observe light and appreciate how it can dramatically transform textures and colors.
Her latest series of watercolors, "Embracing Nature", explores how humans can interface with nature. Her whimsical art is light hearted, fun and, hopefully, brings joy to the viewers.
Her customers reside both in the U.S. and South America. One of her latest paintings, "Freedom", is being exhibited at the Fabriano in Acquarello Exhibit in Italy, April, 2025 .
